This is one of the first recipes I made when I stopped resisting the urge to try my hand at making (as opposed to purchasing) my own smoothies.
Why did I resist for so long? I’m almost ashamed to admit this, but… I thought I needed a juicer to make a proper smoothie. Since I do not own a juicer, I incorrectly assumed making them was not in the realm of things I could accomplish, so I dismissed the thought and ignored the “smoothie trend.” I did not know all those wonderful smoothies could be made in a blender!
Isn’t it funny the way your mind can work against you? Preconceived notions about things can be sooo limiting.
This smoothie contains:
1 ripe banana
1 cup pineapple chunks
6 oz almond milk
about 5-6 ice cubes
Add all ingredients to your blender, set it on chop until most of the ice is crushed then puree for a few seconds. Pour in a pretty glass and enjoy!
If you enjoy making your own facial products, pamper your skin with this Banana Skin Softener.
What about you? Are you still resisting the Smoothie Trend?
